Chiude oggi a Brescia la 1000Miglia edizione 2019 con la strepitosa vittoria dell’equipaggio Moceri – Bonetti del team Alfa Romeo a bordo di una Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 SS del 1928, con 67910 punti. Si aggiudica la seconda posizione l’equipaggio Vesco – Guerini (team Villa Trasqua) a bordo di Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato del 1929 con 67296 punti, al terzo posto con 66525 punti l’equipaggio Juan Tecnology e Barbara Ruffini con Bugatti Type 40 del 1927. La 1000Miglia oggi è una competizione ormai conosciuta a livello mondiale e sempre in incredibile crescita. 1000Miglia non è solamente una competizione di regolarità ma anche turismo, la gara in effetti ogni anno so snoda su un percorso nuovo, cambiato di volta in volta come cambiano anche buona parte dei paesi più belli d’Italia nei quali essa fa tappa o transita. La 1000Miglia è stata una delle maggiori competizioni automobilistiche, italiane ma possiamo assolutamente dire mondiali a livello di prestigio. Negli anni della competizione di velocità, prima del 1957 in cui fu chiusa per il celebre incidente de Portago i migliori piloti del mondo si ritrovavano a Brescia per gareggiare alla 1000 Miglia di allora. La celebre competizione oggi gara di regolarità nacque nel 1927 ed in genere si disputava su strade pubbliche magari con tratti anche sterrati ma strade assolutamente pubbliche ed una grande quantità di persone entusiaste come accade anche oggi assiepate ai lati della strada, molto rari erano i circuiti pertanto le strade pubbliche erano teatro delle competizioni automobilistiche e la provincia di Brescia, allora zona di brughiera, con i suoi lunghi pianeggianti rettilinei si prestava moltissimo a questo tipo di eventi cui erano protagonisti i lunghi tratti da percorrere nella pianura padana. La celebre gara venne  disputata in 24 edizioni nella versione di velocità, dal 26 marzo 1927 al 1957 l’ultima fu vinta dall’Ingegner Taruffi. Generalmente si trattava di una gara in linea a percorso circolare con partenza da Brescia con arrivo a Roma e ritorno sempre a Brescia, su un percorso di 1000 miglia ovvero circa 1600 km fra andata e ritorno, un particolare che ricalca ancora la competizione originale. La gara è nata coma gara unica, priva di tappe. Il percorso iniziale era a forma di otto. Dato l’enorme successo della prima edizione gli intraprendenti organizzatori decisero di riproporre anno dopo anno la gara. Nelle successive edizioni il percorso fu modificato per ben tradici volte. Il numero iniziale degli equipaggi fu di settantasette fra cui due stranieri con due Peugeot 5 Hp Spyder, ventidue vetture furono costrette al ritiro dalla gara e cinquantacinque terminarono la competizione. I primi vincitori furono Ferdinando Minoia e Giuseppe Morandi a bordo di una vettura assolutamente bresciana una OM con la quale completarono il circuito in 21 ore, 4 minuti e 48 secondi mantenendo una media di 77,238 km orari. Dopo il grave incidente del 1957 la 1000 Miglia non ebbe più i nulla osta da parte dell’allora governo per poter riprendere la gara giudicata troppo rischiosa quindi l’ACI Brescia ritentò negli anni, 1958, 1959 e 1961 di farsi rilasciare i permessi per poter fare rinascere la 1000 Miglia ma non vi riuscì. La gara venne poi ripresa nel 1972 ma nella versione che oggi conosciamo: una gara di regolarità, meno rischiosa e più tecnica ma soprattutto meno esasperata. La competizione per il fascino delle antiche vetture e per la bellezza dei paesi percorsi ricominciò a crescere anno dopo anno al punto da divenire oggi un evento tanto grande e conosciuto da essere annoverato fra gli eventi di assoluta fama mondiale, tanto che le automobili presenti all’edizione del 2019 superano i 400 equipaggi. Ultimamente sono state create una 1000Miglia americana chiamata Warm Up , la Coppa delle Alpi e la 1000Miglia green, una competizione molto attuale destinata alle vetture elettriche, una gara che si avvicina per tipologia green alla F1 E, dopotutto queste saranno le automobili del futuro quindi la 1000Miglia ha sapientemente saputo evolversi. Per tornare sull’edizione 2019 devo dire, dopo avere seguito la gara, di avere trovato la competizione molto ben segnalata quest’anno, un chiaro segno che gli organizzatori hanno deciso di curare molto bene anche i dettagli della competizione. Presenti alla 1000Miglia 2019 Prisca Taruffi figlia dell’ultimo vincitore della 1000Miglia 1957 che ha corso su una Alfaromeo: un equipaggio del tutto femminile. Fra i vip che hanno vissuto quest’ultima edizione in veste di piloti o navigatori, Carlo Cracco, Clint Eastwood e Joseph Bastianich.
